Looks like the popularity of endurance racing in Asia is on the rise as Asian Le Mans Series had released the number of viewers of their last season and safe to say, over 7 million is one big number. The viewer numbers for the 2019/2020 season exceeded the previous season’s by 25%, which practically means there were 1.8 million viewers per round in average.
The series highlight which comprises of 700 hours of footages was broadcasted to 167 countries on 77 channels were viewed by 2.13 million people, on top of the 5 million viewers around the world who watched the live stream. The Asian Le Mans Series is one of the most accessible race series with the live stream available for free in full all around the world.
Their presence however was not limited to live streams only as their social media engagements also did the job in spreading the word around. Media outlets from around the world also helped in the series’ exposure, achieving 7,535 million impressions through thousands of articles.
