Fans of driving games rejoice as Playground Games, the developer of the beloved Forza series, has finally shown us the trailer for the upcoming Forza Horizon installment. Named ‘Forza Horizon 5’, the driving game follows the same theme as previous games as an open world driving game. However, Playground Games has taken it up a notch with Forza Horizon 5 as the graphics in this game looks hyper-realistic.
Taking place in Mexico, Forza Horizon 5 features a diverse map that puts the previous games to shame. From sandstorms in the desert to the white sandy beaches, you can see that the scenery and landscape is something that the developers are highly focused on. Not only are the scenery and cars rendered in high detail, the scene is so realistic that you can see the individual needles on the cactus in the desert. The geography details are based on 12K HDR imagery that the developers did 24 hour shoots to capture the actual Mexican skies.
The campaign mode features an expedition for players to search for new “festival sites”, which is used as a hub for the players. Though this is nothing new to seasoned players, the gameplay features a Mayan ruin to be used as a festival site, which is rather interesting. Another interesting detail that the developers added was murals that were designed by local Mexican artists, also a nice touch.
